A simple overview of how ZentWorld works.
What is ZentWorld?
ZentWorld is one shared virtual world. Everyone sees the same world and contributes step by step to its development.
Do I need to register?
No. There are no user accounts, email sign-ups or freely chosen public names. Your participation is recognised locally and pseudonymously.
How often can I build?
Normally one build action is available per UTC day. The button at the top shows whether your action is still available today.
Can I choose which building is created?
No. ZentWorld decides what makes sense based on the world, the place and the surrounding area so that settlements grow organically.
Why do I see a construction site first?
New plots are not completed instantly. You first see a construction site and shortly afterwards the finished result.
What does “Yours” mean?
It marks plots created through your own anonymous builder identity. Other players do not see your private device ID.
How are ranking points calculated?
Points reflect your contribution to the world. More significant buildings and founding a new settlement are worth more.

What do the different areas on the map mean?
Dark areas represent mountains, dark green areas are forests and beige areas directly beside the water are beaches. Mountains, forests and beaches remain undeveloped: no plots or roads are built there.
What happens when a world ends?
The completed world is archived and remains available to explore. A new shared world can then begin.
Can I view older worlds?
Yes. Use “Previous worlds” to explore archived worlds and their results.
What personal information do I have to provide?
None. ZentWorld does not ask for your name or email address. Technically necessary pseudonymous identifiers are explained on the privacy page.
Does ZentWorld work on mobile?
Yes. The interface is designed for mobile devices too, although a larger screen makes it easier to explore the world in detail.
